New unit with firmware 0.50 is not recognized by Media Tool

I have two units, one that came two weeks earlier with 0.45 and it was recognized by Windows when I tried flashing it to 0.48 firmware. It is still recognized even after flashed with 0.48 firmware.

Now I have a new unit that came today that I bought to pair with the earlier one. This new one came with 0.5 firmware but when I tried to connect to my computer, the SAME computer, and SAME USB 3.0 cable, it is not recognized at all. Tried another computer, still not recognized

Please advice a fix, if not let me know how I can get an exchange.

Hi,

I have had the same problem, my laptop will not recognise the uboom L no matter what I try. annoying.

Just checked and I'm on firmware v0.45

There is a thread somewhere here where Earfun support says that the models that come with 0.50 may only come with a USB 2.0 cable. This was the case for me and the Media Tool only detected my 0.50 installed model when I used the right USB 3.0 cable. I was successfully able to revert it to 0.48.
