I've received my new UBOOM L speakers and am very disappointed in the sound quality. Unfortunately I've thrown away the packaging so I imagine I can't return them.
The sound from these things is totally muddy / boomy. Bass guitars sound completely unnatural. Music generally sounds like it's coming from some crappy car subwoofer. Podcasts cannot be heard properly as the mud frequencies overwhelm the voice.
I've read that firmware version 0.43 sounded better but I can't find in on your web site. Can you provide this firmware? I did locate 0.48 but I don't know if this will solve the issue. I didn't see any release notes for the versions.
Also I'm not impressed that the software tools for installing firmware are not supported on MacOS so I have to find a Windows machine.
