I am very excited to receive my UBoom today & it sounds great!   My unit was pre-loaded with firmware ver 0.43, but I'd like to try out the 0.48 as it fixes issue when watching video.    However, the MultiMedia Product Tool unable to detect my UBoom speaker.    Below are the steps i took:-

1) Installed the  MultiMedia Product Tool Build v2.10.05 on my Dell XPS 13.  My laptop running Windows 11  21H2.

2) Run MultiMedia Product Tool Build v2.10.05  as Administrator mode, then I selected firmeware 0.48 when prompted.   Clicked "Replace" to return to main windows.

3)  Power Off UBoom speaker and connect with USB-C cable that came with box.   Then while holding down speaker's Bluetooh  button & connect the  USB-C cable to laptop.  Finally, release the speaker's Bluetooh button.

4) MultiMedia Product Tool  did not detect my UBoon speaker, nothing happen.   Exit the software & disconnect USB-C cable, then repeat step 1-3 above, but still giving same result.   p/s:  I also Reset the UBoom speaker and still unable to detect it.

Hi friend,

Thanks for choosing EarFun. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Kindly note that the included cable and the  USB 2.0 cable won't work. Please use the USB 3.0 cable with data channel to try.

Sincerely,

EarFun Customer Service Team
