I recently got a second UBOOM X and am experiencing intermittent sound drops when paired in stereo mode.
Setup:
- Two UBOOM X speakers v0.41
- Galaxy S23, Android v14, One UI v6.1(software up-to-date, plenty of free space/memory)
- Spotify v9.0.0.487
There are no sound drops when I pair two UBOOM L speakers v1.2.7 or use only one UBOOM X.
Initially tried the following:
- Used all the Earfun app EQ options as well as my own.
- Restarted phone.
- Reset the speakers.
- Unpaired, re-paired speakers.
None of that helped and I was consistently getting 10 to 20 drops an hour. However, disabling AAC and switching to SBC (Bluetooth Audio Codec) via dev options seemed to improve it. I thought it was fixed after about 4 hours with no audio drops (spread over a few listening sessions), however, then I got three drops in the span of 10 minutes and two more drops within a minute of each other about 10 minutes after that.
Any suggestions? Is this is known bug, and is a fix in the works?
I can live with one drop every 4 hours, but not one every few minutes. Really don't want to return these speakers as they sound amazing.
