Earbuds not appearing on bluetooth

My earbuds worked fine for about 4 hours. I connected them to both my phone and my laptop. I tried to disconnect them from my laptop so I could use them on my phone, but they refused to connect. I tried forgetting and pairing again and now they don't even show up as an available connection. When I open the case,  the earbuds flash red regardless of what I do. I have charged the case and tried resetting them per the owner's manual and they still won't connect.
