Earfun buds keep unpairing randomly

I have been using my Earfuns for almost a year without a problem. In the last 2 weeks, they have started to unpair from Bluetooth unexpectedly,  a couple times a day. I have tried - rebooting phone, cleaning all connections, turning off Bluetooth, upairing and repairing, uninstalling app and reinstalling. Nothing helps. 

I've checked for a software update and don't see one. What else do I  need to do?
