Installed the 0.5.1 firmware update today and I'm noticing a substantial reduction in the effectiveness of noise cancelling. The mode definitely activates and I can pick up a minor change, but lots of background noise still makes it through. It just seems to be less aggressive in what it filters.
I also noticed that adjusting the earbud while noise cancelling is active no longer causes loud squealing feedback. That's definitely a welcome change, but the reduction in noise cancelling is so significant that it's hard to tell it's working at all.
Also, Ambient mode seems to be less aggressive as well and very little extra sound carries through versus Normal.
Any adjustments I can make or suggestions?
