Hi Earfun,

My Air Pro 4 just got a firmware update. Where are the release notes for the latest firmware for the Air Pro 4 ? How hard is it to put up a release notes page? Just about every other brand does.  So what was improved? ANC? Battery? Sound? Transparency? Microphone? Do LE Audio and LC3 finally work? Been waiting a year for that!

I should also note that this support forum doesn't have a section specific for the Air Pro 4, even though they were released last year! Why are you so slack?

Please do better. It isnt difficult to communicate with your customers...

Confirming the Air Pro 4's LE Audio / LC3 mode still doesn't work with Google Pixel 8 Pro.

Yesterday I switched the earbuds to le audio mode and reset them. I was able to pair them to my phone,  but the app wouldn't display the codec or any information, and a third-party BT info app also couldn't connect and display the codec (normally it can). Today I found the buds would connect and disconnect and connect and disconnect and I couldn't play any music.

Conclusion:

Earfun Air Pro 4 STILL don't properly support LE Audio and LC3 codec, despite the marketing...

That said, I did get the buds working with an Auracast capable Bluetooth dongle (Floogoo FMA120) connected to my laptop. In the Floocast app  if I set it to broadcast mode, it reported LE Audio with LC3  codec in use, and I could hear the music I was playing, However, the buds could not handle it when I toggled broadcast back to normal mode and then briadcast again.

The Earfun Air Pro 4 are the first earbuds I jave ever owned that have to reboot every time you change a setting. Other earbuds happily change between BT codecs without having to reboot the damn things. e.g. Soundpeats Air 4 Pro. Aptx and LC3 both work just fine on those.

I really, really hope the upcoming Earfun Air Pro 4+ (i.e. the Plus version, with dual drivers and AI translation...), fix the LE Audio shittiness, especially.with the upcoming dongle -- surely they will be compatible. whem both ends of the BT connection are the same brand? Interestingly, the new dongle has the same Qualcomm chip as the Floogoo FMA120 that I already have.

That's not an answer.

You are trying to take public discourse and make it private.

Please give us the release notes for the latest firmware and explain what the hell is going on with LE Audio support.

Today I see you have finally made a section for the AP4 in this forum. Only a year late, but well done.

Do you have a release date for the AP4+ and the dongle? Can you confirm that LE Audio and LC3 work correctly on them?

You really should remove LE Audio from the marketing on the AP4. It's clear that it doesn't work as evidenced by many posts in this forum and on Reddit and elsewhere.

It's also annoying that the AP4 do not support AptX HD, given flagship phones like the Pixel 8 Pro (and Samsung phones) do not support AptX Adaptive and Lossless but do support AptX HD. The marketing needs to be clear that in all likelihood the AP4 will only work with AptX classic or LDAC (which has its own issues with range and stability) on most phones.
