Since first days (2 months already) of usage of Pro 4+ I've noticed of ANC activation without any voice prompt notification! On the latest versions of firmware its switching on so frequently that it's driving me crazy. I have already factory reseted several times, deleted from connected devices, switched on/off in-ear detection, earbuds controls, multiple device connection - nothing helping. It's definitely software issue, cause then I turning ANC on manually by controls or app Voice prompt always notifies me. This problem appear across all devices with different bt codecs(Aptx lossless/adaptive/basic aptx)

BTW I had some occasionally appaering issue with sound. Sometimes at the medium range from transmitting device (like 1-5 meters without walls) soundstage and overall sound quality cripples drastically without any stutter or other distortion. Any of these problems do not occur with original Air Pro 4 or Free pro 3 earbuds

This is not ANC turning on on its own. This is the Air Pro 4+'s terrible in-ear detection feature rearing its ugly head. I really don't know how Earfun could have dropped the ball on this so badly.

In-ear detection was for the most part perfect on my (four sets of) Earfun Air Pro 4. On the newer 4+, it's been an absolute mess.

What's happening is the earphones' in-ear detection feature is erroneously determining that you've removed the earbuds from your ears. I'm willing to bet it's not just ANC that toggles on and off on its own, but that playback is also pausing and/or resuming on its own (note that when the in-ear detection detects earbud removal from the ear, ANC is turned off immediately by design).

I've now applied each and every firmware update released for them (many, MANY firmware updates over a short period of time, signalling to me that Earfun is aware and struggling to resolve). I'm now on the latest firmware version (1.2.6), and the in-ear detection feature is still triggering erroneously, with the earbuds firmly in my ear. This most often happens if I turn/lean my head down. Music playback will stop, as will ANC. I then either have to remove and reinsert and earbud, or double-tap (play/pause) to get my music to continue playback.

It's gotten so bad/unreliable, I'm seriously considering returning mine for a full refund (no problem on AliExpress).

Any of you experiencing the same?

Earfun - what's your endgame here? Will this bug be fully resolved, bringing the Air Pro 4+ to the same in-ear detection reliability I experienced with the earlier Air Pro 4?

This is a DISASTER!

Oh, and I check back on the community a few hours after posting my previous comment here, and I get a "Your Earfun community account has been banned" notification??? Earfun, is this how you deal with customer feedback/inquiries...?

Hi there! I'm so confused, how in-ear detection sensor causes silently toggling on ANC, even in-app it shows that. It’s especially strange when in-ear detection is off by default. Sure, taking one earbud out seems even more likely to cause the bug, but it happens even without any head movement with a snug in-ear fit and disabled in the app. At-first couple weeks of usage, in-ear detection was on, it never misread play/pause, head turning/leaning didn't activate in my case. I just disabled that function.

Latest 1.2.6 firmware doesn't help me either. Dear Earfun developers, if you can't resolve the problem, deactivate the sensor on the lowest software level for now. Sometimes, when the bug appears it won't snap out of that state no matter what I do(turning off ANC by earbud controls/putting in the case), reappearing right after. I ordered another pair of eartips (Spinfit Omni), I hope they somewhat will help.

Don't worry about the "banned", it's just a harsh word they use to indicate you are logged out. Earfun rushing to resolve community thread problems on a personal level via emails. Big shout out for Earfun Customer Service Team for quick and satisfying reponses! But I think it will be more beneficial for developers and users to discuss problems and directions of product development in a public forum.

Seems like you're experiencing a slightly different problem then.

Me, if I was in your place, would enable in-ear detection, disable ANC engaging/disengaging on in-ear detection, to detach the two functions from each other, then disable in-ear detection if that's the way you like it.

Might resolve your ANC firing off on its own.

In any case, seems like there's work still for Earfun on firmware updates for these, and I hope everything is resolved before I give up and simply return my Air Pro 4+.

In the meantime, it would definitely help my faith in Earfun if they didn't ban my community account (over and over again) for even raising these issues here. What's that all about, Earfun?
