Fwiw, WIndows 10 & 11 are crap with bluetooth head/earphones/earbuds. What works for me is using a USB Bluetooth dongle, which is a USB audio device, plug n play, and enables higher uality codecs
I have both:
https://au.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-bt-w5 (USB-C, has AptX Adaptive)
https://www.flairmesh.com/Dongle/FMA120.html (USB-A, has AptX Adaptive/Lossless/Voice, LC3, Auracast)
Here's another one that is about to be released
https://www.fiio.com/bt11
I use the Floogoo FMA120 at work for MS Teams calls. The Creative BT-W5 isn't as good for calls.
Both have software for Windows
Floogoo has Floocast (Windows store app):
Hot tip:
Whatever codec you want to use for music and calls, both the sender (USB dongle) and receiver (earbuds) have to support it.
For high quality music:
If you want AptX Lossless, set the format to 24bit, 48KHz in Windows' sound settings.
For AptX Adaptive, you can set it to 24bit, 96KHz
Good luck!
